How to Build your HK2
This is what you pickup from your
local dealer.
This is what the frame box looks like
when you open it up!
Frame removed from crate, some
people like to use the crate as a stand.
Make sure that you brace crating.
There are parts zip tied to frame for
shipping purposes. Cut away and
place to the side.
This is the proper way to assemble the
fork assembly. Bearing goes down
first, washer and then nut. Upper triple
tree and tightne up.
Triple trees all back together.
Yes you should use loctite on the cap nut!
Upper triple tree reinstalled along with
cap nut loctited and ready to go.
Front and rear fenders on, take notice
that the bracket for front fender are
under the fender not on top. There is
no right or wrong they are your kits
assemble how you like to see them.
This is the way I like.
Spacer for rear are attached to rear
tire. Spacer for front are on the axle
that comes with the kit. Take your time,
do one wheel at a time and you will be
succesdfull.
This is a view of the left hand side of
the front wheel (as if you where sitting
on the bike)
This is the right hand view with the
speedometer drive installed. Notice the
smaller of the two spacers removed.
Left hand side of the rear wheel with
sprocket. Take notice to the axle
adjusters. They are offset and need to
be installed correctly from braking.
Right hand side of rear wheel with
brake caliber installed correctly. Again
take notice to axle adjuster offset,
needs to be installed correctly to keep
from breaking.
